Destroyer (1955)
This warship was built by the Blainville yards. Launched November 30,1933, her trials were excellent
and she reached the record speed of 45 knots. She becomes part of the Atlantic fleet in Brest in 1936.
In 1939-1940 she is active in the Atlantic, the Channel and the North Sea. After the armistice she is in Toulon, then Dakar in 1941.In 1943 she is in Boston (USA) and is fitted with modern AA artillery and detection equipment. She then sails for North Africa, sees battle action in the Mediterranean and the Adriatic, and is part of the fleet for the landings in Provence in August 1944. After the war, she is overhauled in Sidi Abdallah, and, after new trials, sails to Norway for the Narvik commemorative
ceremonies. Thereafter she is stationed in Toulon with the Mediterranean fleet.
